Q: Why did you join 180DC, and how did you hear about it?

I joined 180DC in my sophomore winter because I wanted to learn more about what consulting is. I had my first taste of consulting through a case competition when I was a freshman, and I realized that I enjoy strategizing and designing solutions. I was also excited that being part of 180DC could help me give back to the society in a meaningful way. After talking to friends and learning more about how 180DC emphasizes supporting non-profits via consulting, I knew it was the club for me!

Q: What is your favorite 180DC memory?

One of my favorite memories of 180DC is when we recently went on our retreat to Lake of the Woods. All of us had a funny and wholesome photoshoot in the snow, which ended with a snowball fight!

Q: How have you been keeping yourself busy during quarantine?

Outside of school work, I finally started to properly learn how to cook and surprised myself by making some pretty interesting dishes (although they were not quite good enough to stop my Sawtelle cravings). I also got a Paint by Numbers kit and am on my way to finishing a painting of Mount Fuji! Although it’s time-consuming, it’s very exciting to see my daily progress, and it has definitely given me something to look forward to.

Q: What's your favorite thing to do in LA?

My favorite thing to do in LA is to drive to any of the beach towns in and around LA, like Malibu, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach. I also enjoy grabbing a nice brunch and heading to the beach with a picnic mat where I can soak in the scenery, and later the sunset.

Q: Give a travel recommendation!

Bhutan! It is a country in South Asia that I recently travelled to over winter break and I loved every bit of! The people of Bhutan are the most amazing, sweet and humble human beings I have ever met and the term “connecting with nature” is justified when you visit the beautiful country. The glacier waters, the valley, the zero-traffic-light towns, and the magnificent monasteries were literally jaw-dropping!

Q: What is one fun fact about yourself?

From my travel recommendation, you may have guessed I love traveling. In 21 years, I have traveled to 21 countries!
