Meet the birthday boy from our Fall ‘19 recruitment cycle!
Second-year Economics major Christos Cassoulides served as a soldier on the Greek military for 14 months before coming to UCLA. Although he may call Nicosia, Cyprus his hometown, he is also making waves here on campus. Last summer, Christos worked for Antikythera Capital, a cryptocurrency venture, as an Investment Management Summer Analyst.
Q: Why did you join 180DC, and what is the most valuable thing you've learned throughout your time in the organization?
I joined 180DC to meet interesting people with similar career aspirations to mine and to learn more about and to practice consulting. At 180DC I realized how important it is to surround yourself around the right people at any stage of your life—whether it be professionally or socially.
Q: What's your favorite thing to do in LA and why?
My favorite thing to do is to work out at Muscle Beach, an outdoor gym on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. I love calisthenics, and I get very motivated when I work out with people that devote their entire lives to calisthenics. Also what's better than working out on the beach?
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
I really enjoy working out, traveling to new places, going to the beach, hiking, swimming, playing soccer (football), and hanging out with friends.
Q: Give us a travel recommendation!
Athens; it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and there are so many things to do there, from ancient Greek history museums and artifacts, to beautiful beaches with light blue water. It is also really cheap and has great food and people!
Q: What is your spirit animal?
My spirit animal would have to be a dog, because they are unconditionally loyal and loving.
Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?
My dream is to be on American Ninja Warrior.
