Access To Education

Many underprivileged communities do not have equal access to education and resources, putting them at a detriment when trying to find a job. Education equality is necessary to break the cycle of poverty.

Period Poverty

Period poverty is defined as inadequate access to menstrual hygiene tools and education, including but not limited to sanitary products, washing facilities and waste management. Often, those in underprivileged countries are unable to afford or access them.

Environment

We cannot ignore the impact that our future roles will have on the environment. By educating ourselves about the negative impacts business has on the environment, we can hope to be advocates for better business practices.

Indigenous Rights

Protecting indigenous rights from government legislations and the destructive nature of big business capitalists is important for safeguarding the cultural heritage and identity of indigenous groups. Additionally, the land use and small business network of many indigenus groups provides an important economic asset for the community.

Gender Equality in Business

Women have historically been underrepresented in the United States workforce, creating an inequality gap on the economic, social, and political level. Maintaining proper equality in the workforce is important for upholding women’s rights both inside and outside the office.

Toxic Productivity and Burnout

Burnout is a symptom of toxic productivity; it is our bodies and minds telling us we need to stop and take care of ourselves. Toxic productivity is an extreme obsession with productivity, reaching the point where productivity becomes a marker of self-worth.

Neurodiversity in the Workplace

In today’s traditional work contexts, it can be difficult for neurodiverse employees to adjust and thrive. Neurodiversity in the workplace has been advantageous, as neurodiverse employees bring unique sets of skills that foster creativity, productivity, and innovation. Having a more inclusive workforce allows us to tap into the unlimited potential of neurodiverse employees.

Homelessness

Homelessness impacts all of us, affecting healthcare, crime rates, employment, and more. It is caused and exacerbated by poverty, mental illness, drug abuse, and lack of education. Businesses can play a huge role in deterring the effects of homelessness by implementing more inclusive employment policies and partnering with charities and organizations dedicated to helping the homeless.

Ethics in the Healthcare Industry

Healthcare involves the well-being of all US citizens. Especially with rising costs and staff shortages, healthcare providers are faced with an ethical dilemma. When businesses in the industry prioritize profit over the interest of patients, they sacrifice their integrity. It is important that organizations maintain ethical principles and make patient-centered decisions that will benefit the community overall.
